I approach my art with the spirit of exploration
and enjoy working with different genres of artistic creation.
Below, there are 4 different types of work described.

These paintings are transparent watercolors. They explore the beauty that surrounds my home in the Northwest, and places I have visited on my travels.
I use molten wax and watercolors on Japanese paper to create my batiks. It is a resist process. I love making batik paintings because it is such a creative and innovative process, with surprising outcomes.
These collages are made from my batik papers and sometimes found materials. Japanese papers are perfect collage material since they lay down easily and can be overlapped.
Papers are laid down on watercolor paper with archival glue. I enjoy scissors work very much.
These pieces are detailed and exact in nature. I use permanent ink and watercolor washes.
